The District Department of Transportation (DDOT), in cooperation with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), is performing an Alternatives Analysis (AA) Study for Premium Transit Service in the Union Station to Georgetown corridor. The AA will evaluate possible routes, stop locations and transit types. If streetcar is the preferred premium transit method that is decided upon in this study, DC Streetcar service would eventually be extended west of Union Station to the Georgetown Waterfront.
